Leadership in complex environments
As a simple working definition, let’s suggest that leadership is about ‘supporting people and teams to be successful’. If you apply that to any complex organisational workforce, the first consideration is around what constitutes success? Obviously, there are some hard measures around achieving targets, meeting budgets, producing outcomes for clients on time and to set specifications; but there are also some less obvious notions to consider around supporting staff to be ‘happy’ in their roles (wanting to stay working with and for you); ‘good quality’ work; building strong relationships with clients and so on.
At Orpheus, our focus is on supporting leaders to be successful in the many facets of their role. We seek to build solution-oriented development opportunities - whether that be through formal programs; communities of practice; knowledge cafes; coaching models or any other solutions that work!
